Afghan Taliban threatens to suspend PIA flights. However, it is happening because of the rise in the ticket prices of PIA along with a local private airline, Kam Air. Moreover, the Taliban demands to reduce the prices of Kabul-Islamabad flights as before the conquest of the Islamic Emirate. Also, the Taliban warned PIA that their license will suspend if they keep the price the same.

After evacuation, PIA started commercial prices between Islamabad and Kabul on 13 September. However, the price of tickets boomed due to more demand and the shortage of airlines.

Travel agencies in the Afghan capital say that airfares to Pakistan have risen several times in recent weeks. According to them, a one-way ticket for the Kabul-Islamabad flight, which cost around $300 before the Taliban took over, is now being sold at up to $2,400 (Rs. 400,000 approx.)
