Tourism is becoming a show stealer for the KP government. They earned a revenue of Rs. 66 billion during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays this year.

According to the details, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) hotels and transport sector earned this amount between 22 and 25 July. But, with a positive impact on the rural economy, and particularly those of the Malakand and Hazara divisions.
According to the spokesperson for the KP Tourism Department, Latifur Rehman, a massive influx of tourists, hikers, sportsmen, visitors, adventurers, and mountaineers during the holidays had resulted in a record Rs. 27 billion worth of business in KP’s rural economy.
He stated that 2,770,000 tourists, hikers, and mountaineers visited the scenic areas of the province, including Swat, Chitral, Nathiagali Abbottabad, Kaghan, and Naran, and the local businessmen of the Malakand and Hazara divisions, especially tour operators, vendors, and horse and camel riders, earned substantial profits over these three days.

Rehman also mentioned that the coronavirus vaccinations of the hotel staff encouraged tourists to visit these places in large numbers.
