Coronavirus Fourth Wave At Its Peak In Pakistan

Hey, the fourth wave of Coronavirus has reached its peak in Pakistan. Moreover, Pakistan reported 3,752 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. And, they are the highest reported cases since May 20 on which 3070 cases of Coronavirus were confirmed. Surprisingly, an increase of 1000 cases in only a day has bumped the COVID-19 positivity rate to 7.51% from 6.32%. However, the highest national Covid-19 positivity rate on May 20 was 5.95%.

And, National Command and Control Center (NCOC), reports 3,752 cases on Sunday across the country. But, NCOC reports 2,819 cases a day before Sunday. It’s quite surprising and dangerous as well, as the Covid-19 positivity cases rise 1000 in a sudden. You should follow the SOPs assigned by the government and get a vaccination against this virus as soon as possible.

Coronavirus Fourth Wave

In the past, Covid-19 cases were increasing gradually, with some cases of Delta variant here and there. Delta variant is a type of Covid-19 that originated from India and is now accountable for most of the infections. Moreover, NCOC also confirmed Alpha and Beta variants which originated from UK and Brazil respectively. Things are taking a turn as we have seen a noticeable increase in Coronavirus cases across the country. However, NCOC is trying its best to control the situation in the country.

Special Assistant of Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health, Dr. Faisal Sultan, requested the public to follow SOPs like wearing masks, avoid gathering, getting a vaccination against Covid-19 as soon as possible. And, he appreciated the efforts of NCOC from time to time on his Twitter handle.

Federal Planning Minister, Asad Umar, who also heads the NCOC, also requested the public to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
