I am hearing from many hoax sites that facebook is to be shutdown for one week from 1st January to 8th January 2015. Many people says that it is the Christmas as well as the new year gift from Mark Zuckerberg :P . It is a fake news. CEO of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg told news media in a press conference that “the news of Facebook shutdown for one week is  a Hoax“.  He added that they are going to report this in cyber crime. He says that a social site named as national report spread a fake news.

Facebook founder and CEO, has announced that the social media giant will experience a week-long shutdown, due to standard maintenance being performed on the site. Starting at midnight PST on January 1, 2015, users will not be able to login to their Facebook accounts for seven full days. Access to Facebook will be restored to the public on January 8, 2015, at midnight PST.

Senior co operator of facebook said that for a while we are thinking for new year gift. We are thinking to merge all our services for one platform (facebook). so that you can use multiple services like chatting, calling, viber, photo editing in real time while uploading, in same time. But it is too hard to manage databases as well as users. because in real time there are more then 2 billion users on our servers and  it may cause heavy damage if we try to manipulate data in real time. We are trying to give mobile number connectivity service for our valuable users so that they can greet new year each other by making free calls on cell phones :) .
