Tier 2 Link:

Tier 2 is a backlink  which is linking to tier 1 backlink :). Let me explain, Suppose you have make a tier 1 backlink i.e site A points to your main site directly (tier 1). Now if any other site let’s say site B link directly to the site A URL/Page/Post which was pointing directly to your main site then you have a Tier 2 backlink W.R.T site B, and site A has tier 1 w.r.t site B. Example: Let’s suppose a web 2.0 link pointing to your site. Now make few social link of that web 2.0 :). It will be your tier 2.

Tier 3 Link:

Similarly, If a Site C linking to Site B, and site B is linking to site A and then site A link to your money site, this makes Tier 3 and same way Tier 4, 5, 6, etc.

tier 3 =  Site C >> Site B >> Site A >> Main site/Money site

Example: Backlink pointing to your tier 2 link.

Wait! Wait! Wait!  the game is not over yet :). As I mentioned already, a good strategy and planning play a vital role in tier link building. Without this whether you made tier2 or tier 3 all are in vain (waste of time and effort). Here I will share my case study about best tier linking footprint based of 3 main question mention as bellow:

1. How to make such links?
2. How many Links to make in a day?
3. How many Tiers to Make?

Answer 1: For tier 1 Make web 2.0’s links, does not matter how much (as we all know quality is matter more then quantity) lets consider 7 for example points them to your money site which you want to rank. Remember don’t Link all web2.0 in a single day make it look natural. For best results point  2 – 3 links a day to your site. Linking 10 web 2.0’s in a week to your site then its perfectly fine (my views).

Now make social bookmarking links for those web 2.0’s. So this will make Tier 2.
Tip: Make Social Bookmarking links for your main site too.

For Tier 3 use article directories link to your social bookmarking site. It will make tier 3.
Tip: Make some article directories links to your web 2.0 (tier 1) and as well to your money site.

Answer 2: As I already told, Quantity doesn’t matter quality matter. Go slow and maintain the diversity of backlinks (Very important). For tier 1, Make link pointing to your Money Site just like 2 – 3 or max 5, not more than that there is no hurry go slow. But Link pointing to your Tiers (tier 1,2 or 3), you can make it like 10 – 20 (you can make more, but make sure it looks natural). Also keep in mind that penalty can transfer from one site to another site via backlinks :(.

Answer 3: Till Tier 3 it would be perfect don’t go beyond that as it would be then confusing for you too.
