Surprise! yeah i know because many of us never think that VLC also can do such job. But Fortunately, it is true.VLC is not just for listening song, and watch movies You can also easily Record your Streaming as well as PC Screen by VLC Media Player.

Procedure to Record Screen with VLC Player :

First thing is first. Open VLC media player on your PC.
Now Click on View button from the file menu bar and click on Advance Control Button as shown in Picture bellow.

After Clicking on it you will see some extra option above the audio/video playing bar.
Now click on Play button, A dialogue box will appear before you. Which have 4 options like
1: File
2: Disc
3: Network
4: Capture Device
You need to click on Capture Device button and then select the desktop option as shown in picture bellow :) .

After Clicking on Desktop an option will come with label as desire frame rate for capture. In my case it set it as 10.00f/s. Set it as you want.
Now click on the Arrow sign on the Play Button. And select the stream button. you can also use the combination of Alt+s for this purpose.
A wizard box will appear which has massage like “This wizard will allow you to stream or convert your media for use locally, on your private network, or on the Internet. You should start by checking that source matches what you want your input to be and then press the “Next” button to continue“. Click on next button.
It will ask you to add file where you want to save the recorded video. for this purpose Click on add button and select the desire folder or location by browsing. Click on Next
It will ask you for Format which you want to use. In my case i prefer to use MPEG-2 because it takes low space then other formats.
After Doing this Click on Next and then click on Stream button :) .

That all :) . Now you have Learn hoe to Record Screen with VLC Media Player in simple steps. You can use this trick on every Operating System like Windows XP, 7, 8, Vista as well as MAC or Linux.
Remember : A copy of your recording also save in video folder in documents. So, don’t forget to delete it from there.
