Calculate GPA and CGPA by Manual Formula :

Before going to share Formula first let me tell you what things you need to have in order to extract GPA or CGPA.

• Subject wise Score (Total and Obtained).
• Total Quality Points (depend on Credit Hours).
• Previous GPA (all Previous Semesters if applicable).

GPA and CGPA Calculator (formula) :

1. Calculate Quality Points : First of all you need to calculate Quality Point w.r.t obtained score. If your subjects credit hour 3 then total quality point of that subject will be 12. In simple word one Credit Hour takes 4 Quality Point. you can get Maximum Quality points on “A” grade. In case of 3 credit hours subject, A Grade will be at 48 Marks out of 60. Now deduct 3 Numbers from 48 and deduct one quality Point as well.
   i.e
   On 45 Quality Points will be 11
   On 42 Quality Points will be10
   ON 39 Quality Points will be9
   On 36 Quality Points will be8
   so on.. In simple Words Each Word Contains 0.33 Quality Point.
   
2. Once you calculate quality Point of each and every subject in which you are enrolled. Then add all obtained Quality Points and divide it to total Credit Hours.
   i.e in case of 5 subjects with 3 Credit Hours each.
   Example : 10+8+9+11+9.75 / 15 = 3.1833 GPA.
   Now you have calculated your GPA :) . Congrats (Y) .
3. In order to calculate CGPA, Add all Previous GPA of each semester and divide it to total Number passed of Semesters.
   i.e if you wan to calculate CGPA of 5th Semester and your Previous 5 semesters obtained GPA is (3.2, 3.1, 3.8, 3.9 and 3.1) then your Overall CGPA will be :
   3.2+3.1+3.8+3.9+3.1 / 5 = 3.42 CGPA.
