Type of Menu Navigation Bars in WordPress :

First we will discuss about types of navigation in WordPress. Menus may be of 3 types. It depend upon theme which you used.

1. Main Menu
2. Primary Menu (Header Menu)
3. Secondary Menu (Footer Menu)

As i already told you it depend upon theme. Many theses only provide main menu and some theme also provide all or any two.

1. Login into the WordPress site admin panel which you want to create menu.
2. Now you will be in the Dashboard page of your admin panel.
3. Look at the left navigation and bring your mouse on Appearance tab and select the menu button from right drop down menu.

4. On this page you will see different options like Links, Pages, Categories. Click as your desire and click on add to menu.
   Use links Option if you want to add any external or specific page into menu bar.
   Use Pages Option if you want to add any page in navigation (Privacy Policy, Contact Us etc). It use for internal pages not for external.
   Use category Option to add category in your navigation.
5. If you want to create drop down menu for any specific Link, Page or category then first add it to menu then use drag and drop to make it drop down and click on save menu button as show in figure bellow.

6. Click on save menu and check your main page.
7. Do same Steps to create Primary or Secondary Menus if your theme hold it and enjoy :) .
