Steps to Change your PTCL WIFI Password

1. Web Browser
Firstly, you need to open your web browser in order to set your desired password. You can use any web browser that you use frequently like Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome.
2. IP Address
Now, you will see a search bar at top of your browser. Type your IP address in the search bar and click enter. For all PTCL broadband users, the IP address is 192.168.1.1. However, 192.168.10.1 (new modem users) is the IP address for some PTCL broadband users.
3. Modem Username and Password
This dialogue box will appear when you enter your IP address in the search bar:
“The server 192.168.1.1 is asking for your username and password. The server reports that it is from the DSL Router”.
Now, you have to enter the username and password of your PTCL modem. Commonly, the username for it is admin and the password is also admin. However, if this username and password don’t work, you should check username and password on PTCL modem back or the box of modem.
4. PTCL Admin Panel
You will enter into PTCL admin panel when you enter the username and password. You can access all PTCL modem settings from this admin panel. Now, you will see Wireless in the list of options on left side of admin panel. Click on the Wireless option.
5. Security
Click Security from the bunch of option there. You will complete form on right side. Just scroll till the end of form and you will see WPA/WAPI passphrase bar.
6. New Password
Now, click on to change your Wi-Fi password in WPA/WAPI passphrase bar. Enter your new password after clicking on it. Click on Apply button to save the changes you made to the password.
