5 Amazing Tricks for WhatsApp users – 5 tips you should know about WhatsApp
WhatsApp is most favourite chatting and calling app on the internet with more than 10 Million users. There are many hidden features of WhatsApp application but very few people know that. 1) How to remove blue ticks from WhatsApp:
Blue ticks or sign is used in WhatsApp to determine the recipient has read your message. If you remove this feature then no one can check whether you read the message or not but by doing this you will also not be able to determine that others have read your message or not. Keep in mind, this is for group messages.
- Open WhatsApp and go to settings.
- Go to Account >> Privacy.
- Uncheck “Read Receipts”. Done!
Bonus Tip: You can also read individual messages without making it as “Seen“. When you receive a message, activate aeroplane mode and read the message. The sender will not get notify this as read or seen :).
2) How to Save Chat History in WhatsApp:
Everyone knows important of messages. Not just a conversation with Girlfriend is important but we also make business decisions and meetings on WhatsApp. So, it is very important to save chat history.
- Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
- Go to Chat >> Chat Backup.
- Now you can take backup instantly or can activate schedule backup. While activating auto backup, it will ask you to set backup schedule i.e daily, weekly or monthly.

3) Send Big Heart in Message:
While chatting with your lovers/friends you can send the big heart to express your emotions :P. During chat search the Heart Emogy and send it without word or emogy. WOW! you have sent big heart :).
Bonus Tip: You can send more emoticons in big size by doing same.
4) How to Remove “Last Seen” Feature:
It is a good feature. But keep in mind by disabling this feature you will not longer able to check your friend seen or last seen the status.
- Open WhatsApp and go to settings.
- Go to Account >> Privacy and click on Last seen.
- Select the desired setting and save it.
Note: Keep in mind, if you don’t share your last seen, you won’t be able to see other people’s last seen.
5) How to change WhatsApp Mobile Number:
Sometimes you need to change your WhatsApp number. Maybe you are using many phones and want to transfer your chat to another number without doing too much. You can change your number by reinstalling the application. But it is kinda time-consuming and will delete your history as well. So, let’s go with the second method.
- Open WhatsApp and go to settings.
- Go to Accounts >> Change Number and click on next after reading the important notes.
- Now it will ask you to enter the old number and then enter a new number.
- Click on Done, after verification your chat and contact will be transferred to your new number and you can continue your chat :).

Bonus Tricks:
1) How to change your Friend’s Profile picture:
Sometimes you don’t want to see someone’s profile picture as it is due to privacy reasons. WhatsApp provides you facility to change your friends profile picture to increase privacy.
- Go to Contacts and Copy your friend’s number.
- Now select any image and paste your friend’s number on it.
- Now add or remove the Plus sign.
- Now paste that picture to your Friend’s WhatsApp Profile’s Picture.
- It is changed :).
2) How to transfer files from Mobile and Computer:
WhatsApp provides limited facility to share files from computer and mobile to WhatsApp with the limited extensions i.e you can share PDFs, RAR, ZIP, APK, and words format files only.
- First, create a group.
- Add one friend into it and delete it. Now you are the only one member of this group.
- Now open WhatsApp login through QR Code.
- Now transfer the desired files into your computer through the group.
- You can also transfer files from any chat, Open the chat and transfer the files to the computer.
Note: You can’t download the file greater than 15MB.
3) How to Bold Words or Messages in WhatsApp:
Do you know? you can bold the messages while chatting. While chatting you need to make some words more viewable i.e you want others to take attention on it etc.
Bold: Add Star/Steric “*” sign at start and end of the word and send it. it will get bold :).
Italic: Add Underscore “_” sign on start and end of the word which you want to make italic.
Word Crossed/Strikethrough: Add “~” sign at start and end of the word which you want to get crossed/strikethrough.
