First thing is first login to your wordpress site.
Now you must need to create category (at least one). Because there must be one category where you can publish your posts. Or WordPress sue it as default like uncategorized.
Now the game is not yet over :) . you need to change the default posting category.
Go to setting and then go for writing under the setting menu.
Change the default post category as your desired.
Do same with default mail category if you are using php mailing service.
