8 PAT members killed in Protest by Police.

Pakistan Awami Tehreek case: 8 PAT members killed in Protest by Police in Lahore.At least nine people, including two women, were killed and over 100 injured as police allegedly opened fire at workers of Dr Tahir ul Qadri leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) outside Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat in Model Town on Tuesday :(.

Dr. Abdul Rauf, Medical Superintendent at the city’s Jinnah Hospital said that “We received seven dead bodies including two women. All of them had bullet wounds“. He added “We also received 80 injured, 40 with bullet injuries and 40 with other wounds”. Two injured are critical.

Following the police attack on the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Tehreek Minhaj ul Quran (TMQ), the party activists in Rawalpindi and Islamabad took to the streets on Tuesday evening. They blocked Faizabad intersection, which links both cities, to register their protest against the government over the killing of their party workers in Lahore.

The protesters chanted slogans against the Punjab government, the chief minister and the provincial law minister, for using police force to kill people. They also demanded resignation of the Punjab cabinet.
